Good attempt, but inherrently flawed

As has already been discussed, your sounds are off. And they are WAY off... I expect as a drummer to hear the snare drum beat when I hit the thing - not half a second later. Little things like that.

To really get this thing to work, you'll need to make a lot of changes. You'll need music without pre-existing drum tracks to start with - otherwise how do we know what we've done?

Also, the control system needs to radically shift. After all, unless we're the Def Leppard Drummer, drummers normally go with two hands and two feet. Kinda hard to get that effect with a mouse I know.

Still. I'm glad this got through Judgement. Try again, and keep working hard.

i wanted to use keys for the drums... but i couldn't figure out how. and i dont have a sound editing program to take that delay out of the sounds. but anyways. thanks for the review.

My concience is killing me over this one

On the one hand you have got some SERIOUS mad skills. No one can deny how proficient you are in Flash by looking at the entry animation.

However, it's content is... not really Newgrounds friendly. It's a school presentation, and I hope you guys Aced it... but I don't see it's shelf live being too long here.

So I voted a 2. Hope it gets judged fairly and maturely

....er..... isn't it 5?

Impressive

That's a damn good game you've got there. I enjoyed playing it.

The jump animation's pretty odd though. Maybe just a conventional one would serve better. Plus I'm having difficulty navigating the first set of traps

The opening animation was great, and the sound was fantastic. All your own work?

thistler responds:

all the ingame stuff i drew with pencil and snapped with my webcam to make it authentic grainy.. and the intro and outro animation were also drawn in pencil on a lightbox. so, yep, all my own work :) (except the music)

Amusing...

Random Dress Up things aren't my thing... but it's original and amusing.

If slightly disturbing *goes back to playing with Action Man and GI Joe toys*

The clicking detection is a bit warped however. You may want to change the hit locations of the clothing and items so they are more exact.

Flecky responds:

Yeah... Thanks for the review bud.

My God...

That's a perfect game...

It includes all the elements I want from a Flash Game - tiny size, enough customisation, simple controls...

And those features... those are the features I've been wanting to have in the games I've been working on. How do you get the colour changing options? I must know!

*Unsheathes Sword, and Waits*

Well well. Didn't expect much from this. I was wrong. It's pretty neat. Not fantastic, but pretty cool.

Maybe I'm just too used to Madness Interactive to learn how to use the samurai sword, but it seems very sluggish to attack, and when I do get it to attack, the zombies fall too easily.

Interesting work. Not great, but not blam worthy. Lets see if my protection score rises.

five. - Clock Killing Fun for all the Family

I love that Random Submission button. Personally, I don't know what everyone has against the Clocks (heh... B... heh), but you've made a seriously addictive game here. The rocket speed needs to be really put up a lot otherwise the clocks just swarm over you.

And there's my fifth review of the day. Good game. Very good indeed.
