Excellent Job By All

Wasn't expecting to see it actually in the PORTAL of all things... thought it'd get its own section in the Literature section or something...

Anyhow, bar the fact that the nav isn't searchable (very minor niggle there), it's all been put together well. Oh, and the content's nigh incredible (though my entry is still fairly poor in relation to some of the other work in there).

Next time I think we'll all have to pitch in for the costs of it... :)

Slick, Front Page Material!

Serious work went into this. Congratulations on such a slick game

Good try

Well, considering it's not more than the startDrag and stopDrag scripts, It's not too impressive, but it might be something to work on and create something like a Flash version of The Sims.

Until then, it's not much better than a poor dress up. Keep on trying.

Unresponsive

The controls seemed very unresponsive. I'd like to see that fixed.
Other than that, it's a very clever take on asteroids. Nice idea, and I'd like to see it executed in a better version in the future

Very Slick

Very smooth (a bit too smooth I think for movement) platform game, with a nice simple engine and a well defined control method. Enjoyable to play, and small enough to count as a diversion. Very nice

Aww... I love it... But damn it's length...

It's possibly one of the coolest ideas for a toy in the universe, but with only four screens I felt a bit... empty inside. If you could make the entire city, man that'd be something to play about with.

The vicious humour and the cute animations of the monkeys compound into one exceptionally cool experience. The interactivity it's given really adds to the effect: I wasn't expecting to electrocute the monkey, and it made me laugh out loud when I zapped the poor thing by accident.

So yeah. Larger area to explore, and this is worthy of every acolade known to Newgrounds

Nocturnal-Devil responds:

thanks. i'll slowly be adding more areas to it. originally i planned a whole city but i haven't gotten that far yet =P

A bit finicky, but good

Yeah. It's a bit tempramental at times to balance the power. But it's all there to make a good game. You can line up a shot whilst the ball's in motion, and that's a major bug.

Great result, and the music's nice. What is it?

Patchco responds:

heh, thanks man. Not sure what the music is called, It's from the SoundLoops in flashkit

Hope this wins Daily 1st

Piece of advice though, get the offsite games to open in a new window. Newground's little envelope isn't enough for it.

I WILL get over 100!

Fantastic!

It's a shame you're leaving - But what a thing to leave on!
Fantastic idea for a game. Work hard in the future, whatever you do.

Damn! Must... keep... blobs... alive...

Suggestions

For a great example of a driving engine, you should try find Koala Clock's (Simon McClure's) CAR engine. It floats arround somewhere at clockcrewDotCoDotUkForwardslashSubliminal. You should be able to learn something from that.

Anyhow, a suggestion would be to make the car unable to turn when stationary. Last time I checked, cars didn't have a zero degree turning circle.

Let's see this implemented into a decent game now

hehe. but thats some hard actionscripting to do! xD
